The Prada America’s Cup World Series provided the entertainment and the thrills and spills promised. This was the first time that the Defender and Challengers competed against one another on the same race track. It was also the first time that they were measured boat speed for boat speed.

Things are hotting up for the teams competing in the 36th America’s Cup in New Zealand in 2021. With boats and teams arriving weekly, the Challenger on Record, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, is the latest team to deliver their 2nd boat to the competition venue. The Prada Cup – the Challenger selection series – takes place in Jan and Feb 2021 to determine who will challenge the Defender, ‘Emirates New Zealand’ in the America’s Cup Match in March 2021.

The technical partnership with INEOS Team UK continues to flourish and bring an even deeper level of sustainability to the campaign. To date, the recycled carbon fibre convertor, ELG Carbon Fibre has processed over 1.2 tonnes of the teams waste materials and used these fibres to produce two cradles for the race boat ‘Britannia’. Moulds for the hull and deck regions of the team’s test boat ‘T5’ were also manufactured using the same technology.
