Efforts to increase understanding of ocean health by The Ocean Race campaign, Turn the Tide on Plastic recognised by prestigious Ocean Tribute Awards.
During the last Volvo Ocean race, completed in June 2018, the seven competing teams collected new scientific data during the nine-month fully-crewed, round the world yacht race.
This helped increase scientific understanding of the impacts that plastic pollution and other human activity are having on ocean health. -
