ESailGP Cowes Qualifier
2020 eSailGP Schedule // The road to the Grand Final
Sailors and non-sailors alike will have a full season of challenges throughout 2020 to test their skills against players from around the globe, including SailGP athletes. The championship comprises four qualification rounds, run alongside the SailGP Season 2 events, as well as three additional pop-up qualifiers.
Qualifier
All players can compete in as many races as they wish during the Qualifier, however, they must do the 13 races required as a minimum. Once these fleet races are over the top 8 players will be contacted and invited into the Qualifier Final.
Qualifier Final
The top 8 players through to the Qualifier Final will compete in 3 final fleet races to decide the top 2 players. The top 2 players with the most points after 3 races will meet in a winner-takes-all match race. The top 8 players of each Qualification Final win a spot for the 2020 eSailing World Championship Play-Off in September.
Grand Final
The Grand Final will see every qualifier winner from throughout the season’s event progress to a final 3 fleet races, with an additional wild card berth for one youth player. The top 2 players with the most points after the 3 races will meet in a winner-takes-all match race. The winner of the Grand Final is the eSailGP 2020 Champions and wins a package that includes:
- Invitation to the ROCKWOOL Copenhagen SailGP (real-life event)
Travel and accommodation covered by SailGP Comment end
1 x 6th sailor spot on F50 – the chance to experience the F50 in real life
A pair of Adrenaline Lounge hospitality passes - Automatic qualification for eSailing World Championship Final
Including economy travel and accommodation for the finalist
