The Florentine watchmaker, Panerai announces its new friend of the brand Marlon Du Toit: The acclaimed wildlife photographer.

His adventurous life counts so far 11 countries and almost 40 national parks as he captures timeless imagery of beautiful animals among of which there are lions, leopards, elephants, tigers, jaguars and more.

Furthermore, he made appearances on award-winning shows such as The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon sharing not only stories from his adventures but also highlighting his strong conservation message: to raise awareness towards the issue of what is happening in our natural world today.

He joined Panerai sharing with the Maison the spirit of adventure combined with the need to sensitize the audience on natural heritage which is told through his powerful photography.

“My intention has never been solely for recognition but to raise awareness for the troubles facing our natural world today. I use my love and deep understanding of wildlife along with my skill as a nature and wildlife photographer to convey more than an image or a fleeting moment. Panerai represents innovation and empowers contemporary heroes by encouraging them to search for new challenging adventures without being overwhelmed by fear” as claimed by Marlon Du Toit.

Marlon du Toit is an internationally acclaimed wildlife photographer, professional safari guide and international expedition leader well known for his ability to not only capture incredible imagery of iconic wildlife but also for his unique ability to showcase nature and wildlife to his expedition guests in a manner that is completely unique and life-changing.

He began his professional career within the safari industry in Africa in 2002. As a professional safari guide, he worked with Africa’s top properties across countries such as South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe

He regularly appears on international platforms and most recently was hosted by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show sharing more on his adventures and raising awareness for conservation efforts in Africa. He also recently joined the Sony Alpha team as a full-time ambassador, adding to his list of accomplishments.

Founded in Florence in 1860 as a workshop, shop and school of watch-making, for many decades Panerai supplied the Italian Navy in general, and its specialist diving corps in particular, with precision instruments.

The designs developed by Panerai in that time, including the Luminor and Radiomir, were covered by the Military Secrets Act for many years and were launched on the international market only after the brand was acquired by the Richemont Group in 1997.

Today Panerai develops and crafts its movements and watches at its Neuchâtel manufacture. The latter is a seamless melding of Italian design flair and history with Swiss horological expertise. Panerai watches are sold across the world through an exclusive network of distributors and Panerai boutiques.
