Every year the VIMFF gathers the finest of mountain related film-making from across the globe. VIMFF features inspiring short films about outdoor adventure, mountaineering, the environment and mountain cultures.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
VIMFF is coming to Cape Town again this November, with an ALL-NEW lineup featuring mountain biking, alpine trail running, rock climbing, and wild nature photography.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
LINEUP
Lessons from the edge: South African ultra-runners, Ryan Sandes and Ryno Griesel push themselves right the very edge to run Nepal’s Great Himalaya Trail in the fastest known time.
Perspectives India: Micayla Gatto explores India by bike. With every pedal-stroke the unfamiliar environment is amplified, taking her further into the unknown, closer to connection and toward the realization that perspective is everything.
Blood on the Crack: Climbers Kevin Jorgeson and Jacob Cook head to the Bugaboos to attempt the second ascent of the one of the hardest crack climbs in the world: an unbelievably aesthetic, perfectly splitter, and excruciatingly painful fingertip crack called Blood on the Crack.
Focus: With only a few years of sight left, Steve Bate is given the unrelenting determination to achieve as many of his ambitious dreams as he can, from soloing El Capitan to cycling in the 2016 Paralympic Games.
Tierra del Viento: Photographer Eliseo Miciu explores and shoots the wild, mythical region of Patagonia, learning more about himself along the way.
Wolfpack: The Braford-Lefebvre family chose to live in Silverton, Colorado in order to raise their family wild. Through the hard times and the best ones, running is their tool for experiencing life together.
