The Valencia Boat Show is the first completely virtual boat show in 2020. Organisors have confirmed that they will keep the platform open throughout the year so that exhibitors can showcase their products and sell online through the marketplace.
How will it work?
The event will be held from the 28th of October to the 1st of November, and will consist of a revolutionary virtual platform that will complement the sale of boats, engines, accessories and marine services with talks, presentations, meetings and other events that will bring together the entire sector for five days on the same platform, accessible from any place and device. Plus, from the 2nd of November, the exhibition will remain open to the public so that exhibitors can receive their clients throughout the year.
“We want to keep the exhibition open throughout the year so that exhibitors who wish to do so can continue to sell their products online. Also, as exhibitors of the Virtual Valencia Boat Show, they will be able to collect valuable data from the clients that visit them,” says Nacho Gómez – Zarzuela, director of the Virtual Valencia Boat Show.
The physical edition is not ruled out just yet
The organisers of the Virtual Valencia Boat Show are also studying the possibility of the event having a physical extension, which will be an exhibition of boats in La Marina de València, with limited access by invitation and complying with all capacity restrictions and safety measures. The final decision will be made based on the evolution of the health situation and all exhibitors of the physical event will also automatically be exhibitors of the virtual event.
The Virtual Valencia Boat Show is organised by La Marina de València and Grupo Alfatec together with the Unión de Empresas Náuticas (UEN).
